This calculator uses the following planning method:
Sheets = round up [void volume ÷ (sheet length × sheet width × tested yield depth)]
Worked example
An 880 in³ void divided by an estimated 864 in³ crumpled yield per 24 × 18 in sheet rounds up to 2 sheets.

Calibrate yield depth by packing several real orders with your paper weight and operator method.
Assumptions and limitations
Paper does not fill space like a solid block. This planning estimate must be calibrated with repeatable bench tests.
