What this calculator solves
Use this calculator before comparing a packed carton with a shipping service’s size-based rating method. It converts external package volume into a comparison weight; it does not measure scale weight or choose the billable weight. That makes it different from Box Volume, which reports capacity, and Length + Girth, which checks a package perimeter.
How to choose the inputs
Measure the closed package at its maximum outside points, including bulging flaps or protrusions. Select the unit system that matches the divisor and enter the divisor from the current service, marketplace, or account rule. Do not combine centimeter dimensions with an inch-pound divisor.
