Calculation method
This calculator uses the following planning method:
Length + girth = longest side + 2 × (second side + shortest side)
Worked example
For a 30 × 18 × 12 in carton, the longest side is 30 in and girth is 60 in. Length plus girth is 90 in.
How to interpret the result
Use the result to compare the package with a published carrier size limit. Carrier definitions and limits can change.
Assumptions and limitations
The longest dimension is treated as length automatically. Bulges and irregular shapes must be measured at their widest points.
